What are the things you once LOVED to do as a kid but you now no longer do?
Did you stop doing the things you loved because you thought you were getting to old and couldn’t do them anymore? Or did you stop doing the things you loved because you felt you had to act a certain way? Or perhaps you just lost your motivation?
When you stop doing the things you LOVE you can feel like you have lost a little part of you — it can take you further away from your true authentic self and happiness.
Here are some ways that have worked for me personally to get in touch with my inner child. And it feels so darn good…
Remember what you loved to do as a kid.
What made you truly happy? What things did you love to do? Was it laughing out loud with friends, singing in the shower, dancing around pretending you were a superstar, doing handstands in your living room, playing a monopoly board game with your best friends or maybe going for a run? Write down all of the things that once made you happy and felt good.
By tapping into your inner happy spirit you can re-ignite your passion, happiness and feel good vibes. You have the power within to spark your inner kid — you never lose the ability to tap into who you truly are at your authentic core and you never forget what made you happy as a kid. But, we often bury it away and suppress it because in life we can all get easily influenced to act a certain way because it’s the grown up thing to do or it’s because when you work in a certain Industry or you are suppose to act a certain way. But what if putting on that act takes you further away from what you once loved? Smiling, dancing, singing out loud… you never lose your inner kid spirit and happiness and you can always tap into this as long as you focus on who you truly are or what you truly loved doing when you were a kid.
Drop the mask daily and get re-connected with your true self.
If you once liked to smile then do so. If you once liked to walk around signing,then why not do just that!? Don’t stop doing the things that once made you feel great because if you started being yourself you would look out of place. Being your true authentic self will have you in the most loving flow and at the highest vibration of joy.
When you stop doing what you really love because you think your to old or not good enough, your fears may start to take over and lead you down a very unhappy path. It’s important to know that not every thought is real, not every fear is real and not every fear will come true. When you love doing what makes you feel truly happy, then you are choosing LOVE over FEAR … and that’s your true self.
Beat your fears.
We can stop ourselves from doing the things we love because of fear. Fear of the thought that we may look silly, fear that we are not as we once were or that we may fail at our attempts. Fear is an easy trap. Life may throw you a curve ball, but it’s all about using the experiences as a learning opportunity and chance to evolve and grow. Welcome the challenges and changes in life because, they are what creates your story and makes you wise. That is, if you learn from you experiences. Fear is an illusion, so kick them to the wayside.
Watch the company you keep.
Another area in our life that can drag us down is the company we keep. If you hang around people that complain all the time, you will start to complain all the time to as like attracts like. Energy attracts Energy. If you complain all of the time, you will run into more of the things you complain about. Spend some time in the morning or before you go to bed, imagining yourself achieving whatever it is that you currently desire. Focus is key in this exercise, so choose a quiet environment where you won’t be disturbed and imagine the things you want to achieve.

As a kid you expressed yourself without blame or shame. Re-ignite your fearless spirit, it always lives within you. It never disappears and it’s always there, waiting for you to tap into it. You have the ability to achieve anything that you are willing to and want to – all you have to do is have the mindset that you can do anything through making the time to think about the things you love to do and then through goal setting and daily, weekly, monthly, yearly practice you will start to feel and alive from the inside out it’s your birthright to feel good, Happy, Healthy and LOVED inside and out.
